Your Role

As the IT Director, you will be responsible for leading Caltech’s digital transformation with a focus on value creation, efficiency, and sustainability. You will champion a digital-first culture across the organization, develop and manage an integrated IT/OT strategy, and ensure the scalability and impact of technology initiatives.

Your duties will include, but is not limited to:

  • Leading the IT department in strategic IT initiatives, fostering a high-performance culture within the team.
  • Driving digital initiatives with a focus on creating measurable value.
  • Overseeing the adoption and implementation of new technologies that enhance business processes and customer engagement.
  • Implementing and managing continuous improvement processes to optimize IT performance and align IT services with business requirements.
  • Acting as Caltech’s Privacy Officer, ensuring that data protection policies comply with relevant laws, regulations and industry best practices.
  • Developing and managing the IT department’s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to meet strategic goals.
  • Staying current with the latest technology trends and innovations to provide recommendations for improvements and competitive advantage.

Your Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Post Secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another related field.
  • 5+ years of Experience in IT strategy, digital transformation, and vendor management, ideally within professional services industries.
  • Proven track record of leading successful IT projects and initiatives, with a clear focus on delivering business value.
  • In-depth knowledge of systems, networks, servers, and Azure cloud solutions
  • Knowledge of IT governance including policies, standards, and compliance regulations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring change and aligning diverse teams towards common goals.
  • Deep understanding of IT/OT integration and the specific challenges and opportunities within professional services industries.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 product understanding.
  • Experienced in database management with knowledge on database systems, data governance, and optimization techniques.
  • Familiar with programming languages, software development life cycles (SDLC), and application management.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects at one time and contribute to a high performing team.
  • Strong commitment to excellence, attention to detail and professional development.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit along with the ability to seek out and develop new business relationships.
